The Russian Ministry of Energy expects the growth of gas production up to 700 bcma. The absolute gas yield will increase, and we expect it to boost to 700 bcma, — as reported by the Deputy Energy Minister Kirill Molodtsov.

“At present, about 80% of Russian gas is extracted in Yamal, with the rate to be maintained in the next 20 years,” — he added.

Alexander Novak, Minister of energy, had earlier noted that the centre of Russian gas production is shifted from Khanty-Mansi towards the Arctic, with the investment of producing companies to further increase.
